The Lower Minnesota River Watershed District (LMRWD) will be performing work to stabilize portions of East Chaska Creek from Crosstown Blvd to the pedestrian bridge near Fire Ln. The work on the stream banks is scheduled to start the week of February 1 and should take a week to complete, weather permitting.
This segment of East Chaska Creek has erosion issues that were identified in a 2012 study. Work will stay in the section of creek that is owned by the City of Chaska.
The LMRWD received grant funding for this project, so there will be no cost to the City.
