Location: 211 N Chestnut St.

Congratulations to Wagner Press & Graphics who has been honored with the 2025 MarCom Gold Award for its production of the “Historic Chaska Athletic Park 75th Anniversary Souvenir Program”.

This prestigious award is presented by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP), whose annual MarCom Awards celebrates excellence in marketing, creativity and communication. Each year about 7,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries, making the recognition especially noteworthy.

The commemorative program was let by Samantha Nielsen, who served as designer and associate editor for the project. Sue Wagner at Wagner Press noted “At Wagner Press, supporting the Chaska Cubs is about more than baseball — it’s about community. As a local business serving Chaska for 49 years, we believe in giving back to the people and organizations that make Chaska such a wonderful place to live and work.”

Chaska Curling

Chaska Curling Center: 3210 Chaska Boulevard

This December, the Chaska Curling Center celebrates its 10th anniversary. Home to approximately 1,000 members, it remains one of the largest curling memberships in the country. Guests and spectators are always welcome, whether to watch live curling or try the sport themselves through classes or group events.

This year, the celebration comes with even more excitement. One of the Chaska Curling Club teams, led by Danny Casper, won the U.S. Olympic Curling Trials, on Sunday Novembre 16th. Team Casper, led by skip Danny Casper, includes Luc Violette, Aidan Oldenburg, Ben Richardson and Rich Ruohonen.

Team Casper now advances to the final Olympic qualifying event taking place December 5-18 in Kelowna, British Columbia. There they will compete against seven other nations for one of the two remaining spots in the Olympic field.

Minnesota has a chance to have three curling teams in the Olympics. The women’s team, skippered by Tabitha Peterson of Eagan, will also compete at the qualifying event in British Columbia. Meanwhile, the mixed doubles team of Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse of Duluth has already qualified.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to 22, 2026.
