Fire and Ice Bonspiel

The Fire and Ice Bonspiel is starting Thursday night. The event runs through the weekend, with the finals Sunday afternoon. We've got 48 teams joining us from clubs all around Minnesota, as well as Maine, Colorado, Utah, North Dakota, Maryland, California, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Canada! Welcome to all the teams!

Draw times:

Thursday: 7pm
Friday: 9, 11:15am, 1:30, 4:45, 7, 9:15pm
Saturday: 9, 11:15am, 1:30, 4:45, 7, 9:15pm
Sunday: 9, 11:15am, 2pm

Whether you're playing or not, stop by the Curling Center to check out the action and enjoy the festival in Firemen's Park. We'll have food and beverage, live music and fireworks both nights! Go to the Fire and Ice Festival website for all the details.

Summer League Registration

League registration for our summer season is closing on Sunday, July 14th. There are doubles, triples, open, futures, and 1-on-1 leagues available.

We need 1 or 2 more teams in several of the leagues in order to have them. It's a short 6-week season and a great way to have some fun on the ice and get a break from the summer heat!

Leagues run August 5 - September 19. Registration links and more information is on the Summer League page.

Sticks and Stones

SubZero High School Curling is hosting a golf and curling fundraiser for their program.

Date: Sunday, August 4

Time: 10am-Noon: 6-end curling; Noon-2pm: 9-hole virtual golf at Golf Zone

Cost: $100/player (18+ only)

USA Curling Member's Assembly and Mixed Doubles Pre-Trials

The Chaska Curling and Event Center is hosting the 2024 Member's Assembly on August 9-11 as well as the Mixed Doubles Pre-Trials on August 8-11.

USA Curling members can participate in a variety of programming taking place throughout the weekend. Class topics include officiating, instructor, coaching, ice tech, game scoring, sweeping panel, and group skill clinics.

For the Mixed Doubles Olympic Pre-Trials, USA Curling will need volunteers for timers and officials. Sign up on the USA Curling volunteer sheet. Thanks for your help as we work to put on another great event for the athletes!

Learn to Curl

Many learn-to-curl classes for July, August, and September are open. If you've never tried curling or are looking for a refresher, these would be perfect for you!

Don't forget that we also host private group events for large family/friend groups and company team building. If your company is looking for a fun activity outside of the office, try curling!
