Proposed Miracle League Field at future SW Chaska Park
May 25, 2023 - The City of Chaska, along with the Rotary Club of Chaska, have begun fundraising efforts for a proposed Miracle League Field and universal playground.
Any excess above the goal will assist with future park amenities, including: additional features for the universal playground, park shelter, lighted play areas and general construction.
Savanna Oaks (Harvest West) Neighborhood Park Development
May 9, 2023 - Progress is coming along! The slabs have been poured, the containers are in, and it's really starting to shape up!
September 19, 2022 – The Chaska City Council approved the Harvest West Neighborhood Park plan as well as the naming of the park, Savanna Oaks Park.
September 13, 2022 – The Chaska Parks Commission made recommendation to the Chaska City Council to approve the Harvest West Neighborhood Park plan, as well as the naming of the park, Savanna Oaks.
August 31, 2022 – Chaska staff met with residents on Wednesday, August 24th at 5:30 p.m. to share the preferred concept plan for the neighborhood park. The plan will be on the Chaska Parks and Recreation Commission meeting agenda for September 13th for their recommendation to City Council and their approval on September 19th.
Do you have an idea for a park name you would like to share? If so, read the Chaska Park Naming Policy and then fill out the Chaska New Park Name Proposal and submit it by Wednesday, September 7th at 12:00 noon.
August 10, 2022 - Chaska Parks and Recreation, along with Public Works staff, will be holding another informational meeting at the park entrance, off Vista View Dr., Wednesday, August 24th at 5:30 p.m. If we need to cancel this meeting due to severe weather, Thursday, August 25th, 5:30 p.m. will be the backup date. At this meeting we will share concepts of the park plan and gather feedback.

June 20, 2022- We are gathering feedback from the households that live near this park. This survey will help inform concept plans to bring back to a future neighborhood meeting. The survey will close on Monday, June 27 at 4:00pm.

May 2022-The Harvest West residents were sent notice of an upcoming neighborhood park meeting on June 14th, 5:30pm. The letters were sent out to all neighborhood residents within a half mile radius.
Cortina Woods Neighborhood Park Redevelopment
The Cortina Woods neighborhood park redevelopment meeting was held on May 12th, 2021. Residents from the Cortina Woods area gathered at their neighborhood park to see the City’s proposal for their park remodel based on feedback from a neighborhood survey.

April 2021 - Cortina Woods Park is scheduled for redevelopment in 2021. We have gathered feedback from the households that live near this park to help generate initial concept designs that represent the wishes of the residents along with; meeting ADA requirements, staying within the allocated budget, and factoring ongoing maintenance.
