Facility Update (December 1st, 2023)

Our staff at the Chaska Community Center would like to wish you and your family a happy holiday season. We are looking forward to the New Year and all the exciting things we have in store for you. One thing we are working on is a new Master Plan for the Chaska Community Center. Together with community feedback, we are planning exciting future improvements for the CCC!

In 2023 we have some membership changes! Effective December 31st, 2022, we will no longer offer the Active Older Adult (AOA) membership; instead, we will be offering a Senior discount for individuals age 65 and older. For current AOA monthly members, individuals will be automatically transferred to either the single adult or senior package, based on age. In addition, we are adding a 30, 60, and 90 day pre-paid membership option! All membership changes will go into effect in January on the January 30th billing date. See our 2023 prices on our website.

During the month of December, we have an awesome incentive program to help everyone stay active during the one of the busiest times of the year. Stop by the front desk to receive your incentive challenge passport, starting December 1st. Once you receive twenty stamps on your passport, get your choice of one of our awesome prizes! Earn stamps by swiping into the CCC, bringing a nonmember friend for a tour, attending a fitness class and much more!

Some other exciting changes include expanded Sunday hours; beginning January 1st, the Chaska Community Center will be open until 6pm. Also, in the interest in making the member experience more convenient, we now offer locker rentals for $15 per month. Stop in and see the front desk for more information!

Facility Update (August 13, 2022) 

We wanted to update and remind you of the upcoming capital improvement projects and planned facility maintenance in August and the impact they will have on users. 

 Elevator Rebuild (New Timeline)
This project is set to begin on Monday, August 22nd and could take up through September 9th. For the entirety of the project, the main elevator will not be operational and the lower-level amenities will only be accessible by stairs.   Since the elevator is the main access point to the track, the walking track will also be closed at this time.  For those who use the elevator to access the CCC amenities, please plan to use the stairs while this project is active.  We will continue to send updates as this project progresses. 

Lap Pool Filter and Heat Exchanger Replacement
This project begins on Monday, August 15th. During the replacement, the lap pool, leisure pool, hot tubs, and splash pad will be closed. The steam room and sauna will remain open to members and guests. We will have additional lifeguarding hours at the Clayhole Beach during this time, head down and check out Firemen’s Park!  We plan to have the aquatic area reopened on Tuesday, September 6th. 

Scheduled Facility Maintenance:
Upper and Lower Gymnasiums will be closed August 16th – August 22nd to refinish the floors.
Racquetball Courts will be closed August 22nd – August 28th to refinish the floors and paint. 
Group Fitness Studios will be closed August 29th – September 5th to refinish the floors.  We will hold all Group Fitness classes during the closures, new locations will be posted at the CCC.

As a reminder the Chaska Community Center will have modified hours Labor Day weekend:

  • Saturday: 6am-4pm
  • Sunday: 8am-4pm (normal hours)
  • Monday: CLOSED

Beginning Tuesday September 6th, we will transition back to our fall/winter hours:

  • Monday-Friday 5am-9pm
  • Saturday 6am-9pm
  • Sunday 8am-4pm

Facility Update (August 11, 2022)

Due to unexpected shipping delays, the rebuilding of the elevator has been postponed until further notice.  We will send updates with more information as soon as we are able.

 In the meantime, the elevator and track will remain open.

Facility Update (August 2, 2022)

We wanted to inform you of some upcoming capital improvement projects that will be taking place during the month of August and the impact these projects will have on Community Center patrons. While they are exciting and will provide enjoyment to all for years to come, these projects will require two major down-times and we will have to temporarily close our Pool Area and Elevator.

What: Pool Area, Elevator and Walking Track will be closed for the lap pool filter and heat exchanger replacement and elevator rebuild

When:

  • Monday, August 15th - Tuesday September 6th - Planned Closure of Aquatics Area 

During the time, the Lap Pool, Leisure Pool, Hot Tubs, and Splash Pad will be closed. The Steam Room and Sauna will remain open to members and guests. We will have additional lifeguarding hours at the Clayhole Beach during this project, so head down and check out Firemen’s Park!

Why: These are necessary preventative maintenance items that are required to keep your community center operational, safe and clean! We are very excited for a whole new wave of improvement projects and we thank you for your support and understanding!

For more details on these projects, we will be hosting two informational sessions at the Community Center on Thursday July 28th from 8:30am-10am and Tuesday August 2nd from 4pm-5:30pm in the main lobby.

Facility Update (June 2, 2022) 

The wait is over, all fitness equipment is back and ready for you to use starting tomorrow 6/3/22! If you plan to come in to use the equipment tomorrow please take note that the cable tv will not be available, but the machines are functional and internet will be available.

Facility Update (April 8, 2022) 

The staff at the Chaska Community Center would like to thank you for your continued patience and support over the past two years and we navigated the many ups and downs of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the measures that was implemented upon reopening from the original lockdown in July 2020 was moving all the cardio equipment into the lower gym to account for social distancing requirements through Minnesota Department of Health. In May of 2021, all of the restrictions from MDH were lifted for gyms and fitness centers; however, out of an abundance of caution and concern for our users, we opted at that time to keep the cardio equipment in the gym to allow for COVID cases in Carver County to slow down. Knowing that we always intended to return the equipment back to its original location, we have been monitoring our gymnasium usage and feel as though the time has come to get back to 'normal.' Staff will take on the project of moving the cardio equipment back into the wellness area May 31st through June 3rd. During this time both the weight equipment, cardio equipment, and lower gym will be shut down. The functional fitness area will still be available for use. 

Thank you for your patience through this project!  We will continue to communicate through email, website, and Facebook as we get closer to the date. 


Policy Update (effective February 28th, 2022)

In order to improve the experience for ALL at the Chaska Community Center, we are adjusting our evening policies regarding youth access.   Effective February 28th, all individuals under the age of 15 years must have adult (18 years or older) providing direct supervision after 7:00pm.  Between now and February 28th, please discuss with your children attending the CCC this policy change and make plans for their evening supervision.  Below, please reference the full outline of the areas that youth may access while they are at the CCC: 

  • Track: Individuals 11 years and under must have supervision from a responsible adult
  • Weight & Cardio Areas:  Individuals must be 15 years of age to use these areas independently.  Ages 12-14 may use equipment with direct supervision from a responsible adult. *  
  • Gymnasiums: Individuals 11 years and under must have supervision from a responsible adult
  • Indoor Pool: Individuals 11 years and under must have supervision from a responsible adult. Children under the age of 6 must have direct in-water supervision. 
  • Daytime Building Usage: All individuals must be 12 years or older to access without an adult.
  • Evening Building Usage (effective February 28th): After 7pm, individuals must be age 15 years or older to attend the CCC without an adult.  After 7pm, children under 14 years of age must have direct supervision from an adult (18 years and older).
